Job summary

The City of Lexington seeks a GIS Manager to lead the GIS program for the Utility Services Department. You will oversee GIS development, train end users, and support GIS applications used city-wide.

Requires a GIS or related degree (or 4 years of experience), GPS knowledge, supervisory experience, and a valid NC driver's license. Working hours are Mon–Fri 8–5 with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Computer Science or related field or four years related work experience.
• Four years of experience with GIS and GPS concepts and applications.
• One year of supervisory experience.
• Thorough knowledge of ESRI software platform.

• Develop and maintain the City's GIS needs and provide training and end-user support for GIS for the Utility Services Department.
