Greenville Utilities Commission is seeking a well-qualified candidate to join our award-winning team as a GIS Technician. The GIS Technician will perform tasks related to Enterprise ESRI GIS and Trimble CityWorks Work and Asset Management, including developing GIS data layers, supporting users, collecting GPS data, and generating drawings and reports.
Minimum requirements include a 4-year degree in GIS/Geography/IT or related field, excellent communication, teamwork, and knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS

Greenville Utilities Commission is seeking a well-qualified candidate to join our award-winning team as a GIS Technician. In this role, the GIS Technician will perform a variety of tasks related to Enterprise ESRI Geographic Information System (GIS) and Trimble CityWorks Work and Asset Management. Responsibilities include: Developing and maintaining GIS data layers and project datasets; Supporting users with GIS and asset information; Collecting GPS data and generating proposed drawings, cartographic products, and tabular reports; Performing QA/QC on data using standard operating procedures and workflows; Creating and updating documentation for procedures and workflows; Assisting with the setup, configuration, and support of GIS and Work and Asset Management systems and interactive online applications; Importing GPS data points into the GIS system for map generation and updates.
Position requires on-site attendance; this is not a remote work position.
Work Schedule: M-F 8AM – 5PM
Anticipated Hiring Range:$58,801.60 – $76,211.20
Anticipated Hiring Range: $63,606.40 – $82,305.60
Candidates with an equivalent combination of training, experience, and certification will be considered.
