The General Counsel role at World-Finer-Food in Bloomfield, NJ, US leads the company’s legal strategy in collaboration with the Group Legal & Compliance Director. The position safeguards the company’s interests by guiding senior management on regulatory matters and complex contracts.

Key duties include advising management on legal developments, ensuring corporate compliance, drafting and approving contracts, overseeing budgeting, and directing a legal team with external counsel as needed.

Formación

• Advised on regulatory developments and corporate law.
• Experience coordinating internal and external counsel across U.S. subsidiaries.
• Strong ability to translate legal issues into pragmatic business solutions.

Responsabilidades

• Advising company management on all legal matters, with emphasis on regulatory developments.
• Ensuring compliance with corporate law and internal policies.
• Drafting and approving complex contracts (purchase, sales, mergers…) and related documents.
• Overseeing implementation of regulatory requirements (anti-bribery, competition law, etc.).
• Leading pre-litigation and litigation strategy and coordinating with outside counsel as needed.
• Supervising a legal team, setting objectives and facilitating career development.
• Selecting external counsel and managing budgets and deadlines.
• Presenting the Legal Department’s annual budget and forecasts.
