Qualifications

• Bar exam and legal privilege certification required.
• Significant experience in a similar corporate role required.
• Proficiency in or ongoing study of French and another foreign language.

Responsibilities

• Advising company management on legal matters and regulatory developments.
• Ensuring compliance with corporate law and regulatory requirements.
• Drafting and approving complex contracts (purchase, sales, mergers).
• Leading pre-litigation and litigation strategies with outside counsel as needed.
• Supervising a team of legal professionals and evaluating performance.
• Selecting external counsel and managing budgets for legal matters.
• Presenting the Legal Department’s annual budget and projections.
