Job summary

The Arc of Palm Beach County Inc in Riviera Beach, FL is seeking a Director of Fundraising and Development to lead fundraising initiatives and manage events that advance the organization’s mission. The role focuses on cultivating sponsors, coordinating multiple events, and guiding donor activity.

You will work with the President/CEO and the Advancement team to plan budgets, track results, and grow donations while supervising no direct reports but leading event teams of staff and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of related experience.
• Experience in sales, marketing or fundraising.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to foster strong relationships.
• Research and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the President/CEO to implement events and programming that align with the organization's fundraising goals.
• Identify and cultivate corporate and foundation sponsors.
• Plan and coordinate special fundraising events for The Arc of Palm Beach County.
• Develop and manage event work plans.
• Maintain event budgets and monthly reconciliations.
• Event preparation and logistics, including décor, entertainment, ticketing, stakeholder relations, and onsite events.
• Solicit and collect auction items.
• Upload and track auction items with third-party vendor.
• Coordinate event committee and co-chair meetings; Attend, record, and report details.
• Manage donor database, including data entry and reporting.
• Work with vendors before, during, and after events.
• Lead event teams comprised of coworkers and volunteers.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase donations alongside the Advancement team.
• Support major donor cultivation alongside the Executive team.
