Job summary

The Arc of Palm Beach County seeks a Director of Fundraising & Development to advance its mission through strategic fundraising leadership in Palm Beach County. You will build strong relationships with local businesses and stakeholders, and oversee the planning and execution of approx.

three annual fundraising events and three third-party events. Working with the President/CEO and Advancement team, you will identify sponsors, manage budgets and donor data, and coordinate volunteer-led event

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of related experience.

Position Summary

In this role, you will build and maintain impactful relationships with local businesses and stakeholders to further the organization’s advancement goals. The Director of Fundraising & Development will create, produce, and manage approximately three annual fundraising events and three third party events.

• Work alongside the President/CEO to implement events and programming that align with the organization’s short- and long-term fundraising goals.
• Identify and cultivate corporate and foundation sponsors.
• Plan and coordinate special fundraising events for The Arc of Palm Beach County.
• Develop and manage event work plans.
• Maintain event budgets and monthly reconciliations.
• Event preparation and logistics, including décor, entertainment, ticketing, stakeholder relations, and onsite events.
• Solicit and collect auction items.
• Upload and track auction items with third-party vendor.
• Coordinate event committee and co-chair meetings; Attend, record, and report details.
• Manage donor database, including data entry and reporting.
• Work with vendors before, during, and after events.
• While this position has no direct reports, the Director of Fundraising & Development leads event teams comprised of coworkers and volunteers.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase donations alongside the Advancement team.
• Support major donor cultivation alongside the Executive team.
• Other duties as assigned by the President/CEO.

• Support major donor cultivation alongside the Executive team.
