Job summary

Children of Promise, NYC seeks a Director of Development in New York, NY to lead fundraising and communications efforts. This senior role reports to the Chief Development Officer, Growth and Expansion, and manages a team including a Grant Writer and Development Associate.

You will design and execute strategies to grow the donor base, manage corporate and foundation partnerships, and steward fundraising campaigns. This is an on-site, full-time position with a salary range of $80,000 to $85,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Minimum five years in development, fundraising, communications, and nonprofit management; seven+ preferred.
• Demonstrated fundraising across individual, corporate, and foundation gifts.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement a development and communications plan to increase funding.
• Supervise and support the development and communications team.
• Report to the Chief Development Officer and the Board on progress.
• Build donor pipelines and engagement strategies for major gifts.
• Lead special events and community engagement initiatives.
• Oversee data and reporting for fundraising activities.
