Job summary

Committee for Hispanic Children and Fami in Bronx, NY seeks a Development Director to lead fundraising, donor relations, and strategy development. The role reports to the President & CEO and collaborates with the Board to diversify funding from individuals, foundations, and government sources.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in development with success in fundraising and bilingual English/Spanish communication. This full-time exempt role offers a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, nonprofit leadership, communications, marketing, or a relevant field.
  • 5+ years in Development with a proven fundraising track record.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Outgoing, energetic, and self-motivated.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy.
  • Manage Salesforce and collaborate on data entry and major gifts processing.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with government officials.
  • Establish and maintain communication with CHCF’s community (staff, board, volunteers, interns, contributors).
  • Develop, implement, and oversee budgeting; produce monthly fundraising reports.
  • Develop a tracking mechanism for outgoing proposals.
  • Supervise staff and provide growth opportunities.
  • Plan and execute the annual fundraising Gala to increase support.
