Job summary

Fun is hiring for a Forward Deployed Engineer to architect and deliver onboarding and checkout experiences for strategic customers in NYC. You will partner with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to scope, design, and build scalable solutions that grow the customer base and drive value.

You will lead technical discovery, engage with high-value clients from discovery to rollout, and help shape the roadmap while working across teams to maintain high-visibility, quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack production software in high ownership environments.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Go, or Python.
• Experience working with high-value customers from pre-sales to production rollout.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-team communication.
• Experience with LLMs to build scalable, high-availability systems.
• Nice to have: React Native, payments, or blockchain integrations.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver best-in-class onramp & checkout experiences for our strategic customers.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to scope, design, and build scalable solutions.
• Lead technical discovery with prospective and existing customers.
• Partner with business teams on evaluations, demos, and prototypes to close deals and engage customers.
• Set the standard for the Forward Deployed Engineering team and scale products and processes.
• Collaborate to define and prioritize our roadmap.
