Job summary

Allen Lund Company is seeking a Transportation Broker to join our team. You will manage incoming and outgoing shipping logistics, perform daily check calls on loads in transit, handle customer inquiries, and prepare freight bill documentation.

We value self-motivation, collaboration, and outstanding customer service. Candidates should have at least 3 years in freight brokerage or customer service, a college degree preferred, and a strong work ethic ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Freight Brokerage / customer service.
• College degree highly desired or equivalent experience.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic team player who excels in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service orientation and excellent work ethic.
• Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills, and ability to handle conflict.
• Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitask.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to quickly process information and make decisions, and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Customer Acquisition & Problem Solving: contact new customers and drive acquisitions.
• Carrier Management & Pricing: build relationships with carriers to increase capacity and negotiate rates.
• Logistics & Compliance: perform daily check calls and handle brokerage documentation.
• Core duties: manage freight brokerage and booking loads; uphold company standards of Customer, Company, Office.
