Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking a Commercial Finance & Operations Analysis Manager to tie bid assumptions to delivered results. You will build data-backed pricing for new business, monitor margins, and give senior leadership real-time visibility into operational health.

You will partner with Sales, Account Management, Operations, and Finance to win profitable business, develop pricing models, and automate reporting while maintaining data quality and a single source of truth for decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of FP&A, commercial finance, or operational finance experience.
• Experience building financial models to support decisions (RFP pricing, margin analysis, etc.)
• GAAP knowledge and P&L understanding.

Responsibilities

• Deliver regular senior leadership reporting on bid performance vs. economics (revenue, cost per unit, margin, volume).
• Identify variances, diagnose root causes, and recommend pricing/operational actions to close gaps.
• Assist with margin expansion through operational performance analysis.
• Partner with Sales/Account Management on RFPs/bids/spot rate requests with competitive pricing.
• Build and maintain pricing models reflecting lane economics, capacity, costs, fuel, and market conditions.
• Translate bid assumptions into defensible recommendations balancing win rate with profitability.
• Design and maintain dashboards/KPIs for real-time operational visibility.
• Establish single source of truth with consistent metric definitions and data standards.
• Build financial models for ad hoc projects to support leadership decisions.
• Automate recurring reporting and improve data quality and turnaround time.
