Job summary

ExcelliSearch, Inc. in Plymouth, MI, is seeking a Commercial Finance & Operations Analysis Manager to connect bid economics to delivered results.

You will build data-driven pricing for new business and provide real-time visibility into operational health for senior leadership. You will collaborate with Sales, Account Management, Operations, and Finance, develop pricing models reflecting lane economics, and translate bid assumptions into actionable recommendations that balance win rate with

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, or related field.
At least five years of FP&A or related experience.
Experience building financial models for business decisions (RFP pricing, margin analysis).
GAAP knowledge including P&L structure.
Experience in transportation, logistics, or automotive preferred.
SQL or data querying skills preferred.
Experience with TMS or ERP data (NetSuite) preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver regular reporting to senior leadership on how recently awarded business performs against its original bid economics, including revenue, cost per unit, margin, and volume.
Identify variances early, diagnose root causes, and recommend pricing, operational, or contractual actions to close gaps.
Assist with margin expansion across the business through actionable analysis of operational performance.
Partner with Sales and Account Management to respond to OEM and dealer group RFPs, bids, and spot rate requests with accurate, competitive pricing.
Build and maintain pricing models that reflect lane economics, capacity, carrier and contractor costs, fuel, and market conditions.
Translate bid assumptions into clear, defensible recommendations that balance win rate with profitability.
Design and maintain reporting frameworks, KPIs, and dashboards that provide real-time visibility into operational health.
Establish consistent metric definitions and data standards so leaders across Sales, Operations, and Finance work from a single source of truth.
Build financial models for ad hoc projects to support senior leadership decision making on business operations.
Automate recurring reporting and continuously improve data quality, accuracy, and turnaround time.
