Job summary

CDM Smith Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to act as a strategic partner, guiding financial decisions to drive growth and operational excellence. You will lead FP&A activities, analyze financial performance, and support revenue recognition across projects.

You will collaborate with leadership, manage budgeting and forecasting processes, and develop executive-level dashboards using Power BI and Oracle ERP to enable data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years in FP&A or similar role.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and performance analysis.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition and project financial management.
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
• Experience partnering with leaders to influence decisions and improve performance.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling; proficiency with Office tools.
• Experience with financial reporting and KPI development.
• Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools.
• Proficiency with Oracle ERP or similar ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and forecasts to drive growth.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and long-range plans.
• Analyze revenue, profitability, margins, and key metrics.
• Monitor project financials, identify risks/opportunities, advise on actions.
• Collaborate with Operations and Project Accounting for revenue recognition and billing.
• Develop executive dashboards and management presentations.
• Support financial controls and process improvements.
• Utilize Power BI, Oracle, Excel to enhance reporting and analytics.
