Job summary

CDM Smith Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to act as a strategic partner to leadership, guiding financial decisions that drive growth and profitability across projects. The role focuses on FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting with data-driven insights.

You will analyze financial and operational performance, support revenue recognition and contract reviews, and develop executive dashboards to inform strategic decisions. No travel required for this role.

Qualifications

Experience in FP&A, corporate finance, project accounting or related finance roles.
Strong budgeting, forecasting, modeling and performance analysis skills.
Knowledge of revenue recognition principles and project financial management.
Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business recommendations.
Experience partnering with leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to influence decisions.

Responsibilities

Partner with leadership to provide financial insights, forecasting, and recommendations.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and long-range planning.
Analyze financial and operational performance including revenue, profitability, and project margins.
Monitor project financial performance and identify risks and opportunities.
Collaborate with Operations and Project Accounting on revenue recognition, contracts, and billing.
Develop and maintain executive dashboards, KPI reporting, and financial analyses.
Support financial controls, process improvements, and operational efficiency.
