Job summary

Genius Sports in New York is seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to support central functions and stakeholders. The role reports to the VP, Corporate FP&A and sits in a fast-moving global finance team.

You will deliver insightful financial analysis to guide accountability, performance understanding, and investment decisions, partnering with C‑Suite leaders to optimize profitability and value creation. The position offers a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in commercial finance, FP&A, investment banking, or consulting.
• Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills; proficiency with ERP systems (Workday, SAP, Oracle) and BI tools.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and the confidence to constructively challenge business decisions.
• Deeply organized and able to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
• Curious, and restless about improving processes, communication & engagement.
• Team player with a hands-on, down-to-earth attitude and approach.

Responsibilities

• Strategic partnership and stakeholder management with central functions.
• Own as Senior FPB to central functions and senior leaders across departments.
• Work with C-Suite and Corporate FP&A to frame the financial narrative for cost base.
• Lead the budget and quarterly reforecast process for central functions.
• Identify risks and opportunities; recommend mitigations and optimizations.
• Month-end review and management reporting; reconcile accruals with accounting.
• Deliver monthly financials, KPIs, and variance analyses for stakeholders.
• Support consolidation of monthly financials for Board reporting.
• Drive governance around business cases, scenario modelling, and post-investment tracking.
• Build financial models for ad-hoc requests and business decisions.
