Job summary

Cengage, a global edtech company, is seeking a Manager, Corporate FP&A to advance financial performance by supporting corporate reporting and forecasting. You will collaborate across the organization to build models and provide insights.

You will lead ad hoc analyses, build long-term pro forma models, support budgeting, forecasting, and incentive plans, and leverage AI-enabled planning tools to drive business opportunities and investor data readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 2-4 years’ FP&A, private equity, or similar experience.
• Knowledge of financial statements - Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow.
• Excellent working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities with ability to balance multiple activities.
• Aptitude for utilizing AI in operational transformations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
• Curiosity, resourcefulness, flexibility, and collaboration.
• Self-starter with initiative; works well under pressure and meets deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Ad hoc analyses across spend, investments, and transformations.
• Builds and maintains models for long‑term decisions and P&L impact.
• Develops financial projections for planning, including proforma M&A.
• Assist in market and competitor intelligence and evaluating opportunities.
• Craft budgeting and forecasting decks for executive discussions.
• Collaborate with FP&A team and business partners on planning activities.
• Identify efficiency opportunities from unit economics.
• Provide insights from performance trends and analysis.
• Streamline planning and reporting using AI-enabled tools.
• Support external investor presentations and data requests.
