Job summary

Road Ranger, L.L.C. in Schaumburg, IL seeks a Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis to lead the company's planning, forecasting, and analytical functions.

This role reports to the CFO and guides monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range models while preparing board-ready financial presentations. You will mentor FP&A Analysts, partner with Operations, Merchandising, and Fuel, and drive profitability through data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or Data Analytics.
• 3-6 years of experience in multi-unit retail, petroleum, or consumer-facing business preferred.
• Experience with ERP and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Oracle, SAP, etc.).
• SQL and VBA programming; adaptability to other languages.
• Master’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly financial reporting packages with variance analysis.
• Own the monthly forecasting process including reforecasts and scenario modeling.
• Support the annual budgeting process across departments and consolidate inputs.
• Analyze fuel margin, labor cost ratios, same-store sales, shrink, and Opex trends.
• Develop financial models for capital projects and investments.
• Mentor FP&A Analysts and coordinate with department heads.
• Improve reporting infrastructure using SQL, VBA and BI tools.
• Prepare executive summaries for senior leadership and board materials.
• Assist long-range planning and forward-looking performance models.
