Job summary

Madrigal Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager of FP&A to serve as a strategic finance partner to the Executive Leadership Team and department leaders.

You will oversee OpEx budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close for G&A, with a focus on IT spend and technology initiatives. The role requires 8+ years in FP&A, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and proven ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive FP&A experience; pharma/biotech preferred.
• Experience supporting a CIO / IT function strongly preferred.
• Excel and PowerPoint expertise with executive-ready presentations.
• Ability to manage multiple senior stakeholders and partner with ELT.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic finance partner to ELT and department leaders, providing planning, forecasting, and investment insights.
• Lead IT/Technology spend planning, licensing, and capital vs. expense decisions.
• Own month-end close governance and accurate accruals for G&A.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-range plans for OpEx and capex.
• Develop ELT-ready reports and communicate performance, risks, and opportunities.
