Aston Carter is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis Leader in Fargo, ND to mentor the FP&A team and partner with regional and executive leadership. You will drive budgeting, forecasting, KPIs, and scenario analyses to enable data-driven decisions across the business.

The role requires 8+ years of financial analysis experience, strong accounting knowledge, and advanced Excel skills. Travel up to 30% may be required, with compensation aligned to experience and location.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, or related area.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
• Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to see big picture.
• Translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial and operational performance to identify trends, risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning efforts while improving accuracy.
• Develop and refine KPIs and performance metrics for leadership visibility.
• Perform scenario, what-if, and financial impact analyses.
• Turn financial analysis into practical action plans with operational leadership.
• Track progress against business initiatives and scorecards.
• Lead special FP&A projects as needed.
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and processes.
• Build relationships across organization and become trusted financial partner.
• Ensure financial reporting and insights are delivered accurately and on time.
• Work with external partners to analyze incentive, marketing, and financial programs.
• Collaborate across departments to solve problems and support business objectives.
• Take on additional financial projects and strategic initiatives.
