Job summary

CDM Smith Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to act as a strategic partner to leadership, guiding financial decisions that drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence.

You’ll lead forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning; monitor performance across revenue, margins, and KPIs; and support revenue recognition and compliance as part of cross-functional teams. The role requires a strong analytics background, advanced Excel skills, and experience with Power BI and ERP

Qualifications

• Experience in FP&A, corporate finance, project accounting, or a related financial role.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition principles and project financial management.
• Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business recommendations.
• Experience partnering with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling; proficient with MS Office.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience with financial reporting, KPI development, and business performance analysis.
• Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools.
• Proficiency with Oracle ERP or other enterprise financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to provide financial insights, forecasting, and recommendations for growth.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and long-range planning.
• Analyze revenue, profitability, project margins, and key business metrics.
• Monitor project financial performance; identify risks and opportunities with actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with Operations and Project Accounting on revenue recognition and compliance.
• Develop and maintain executive dashboards, KPI reporting, and analyses.
• Support financial controls and process improvement across the business.
• Leverage Power BI, Oracle, Excel, and other systems to enhance reporting and decision-making.
