Job summary

VSP Vision is seeking an experienced FP&A leader to direct strategic planning, forecasting, and financial analysis across all business units in California. You will develop financial models, standardize reporting, and deliver executive insights to support decisions at the board level.

You will oversee budgeting, long-range plans, and performance analysis while leading a team, coaching staff, and driving cross-functional collaboration to optimize resources and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of 6 years of management experience with hiring, training, assigning work, and managing performance of direct reports.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with business partners, staff, outside auditors, and vendors.
• Demonstrated experience in working with and influencing senior management.
• Excellent project management skills with experience managing multiple large projects concurrently.
• Superior analytical skills.
• Proven track record of influencing constituents for optimal results.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills, detail-oriented with ability to multitask.
• Flexible and able to quickly and effectively change priorities and direction.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Clean credit history as reported by credit report for roles that are remote or hybrid

Responsibilities

• Directs strategic planning, forecasting, and financial analysis across all lines of business.
• Oversees development of financial models, performance metrics, and business insights for executive decisions.
• Ensure standardized forecasting and reporting processes across units.
• Lead the development, review, and refinement of FP&A reporting and long-range plans.
• Prepare executive presentations and board materials with strategic insights.
• Oversee internal and external financial reporting packages for all lines of business.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align financial planning with organizational goals.
• Evaluate financial impact of strategic initiatives and business cases.
• Provide leadership on strategic projects including scenario planning and cost optimization.
• Supervise, coach, and develop direct reports; manage merit and performance reviews.
