Job summary

Alliance for Justice seeks a Senior Foundation Relations Manager to drive grant development and donor engagement. You will coordinate LOIs, reports, and proposals, manage a portfolio of funders around $75k per year, and collaborate with Finance to secure budgets for timely submissions.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Foundation Relations, you will research foundations, prepare briefing memos, maintain foundation data in EA, and contribute to a proactive foundation pipeline.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in foundation fundraising or 5+ years in development with a foundation relations focus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ClickUp (Project Management Software).
• Comfortable working with database software programs such as EveryAction.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Outstanding attention to detail and deadlines.
• Resourcefulness and ability to think independently.
• Ability to take ownership of a process and use problem-solving skills to resolve issues.
• Strong professionalism with the ability to function efficiently in a busy, fast paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support Senior Director, Foundation Relations in LOI, report and proposal deadlines; create templates and first drafts; provide proofing and formatting.
• Manage a portfolio of funders around $75k per year and below; suggest relationship-building ideas and grant growth.
• Liaise with Finance to obtain budgets for reports and proposals.
• Pull data on grant deliverables with program teams for reports and internal grant check-ins.
• Research and prepare briefing memos on foundations to develop pipeline of prospects.
• Use ClickUp to map project plan timelines and deadlines.
• Maintain grant boilerplate language and templates; update materials.
• Maintain EveryAction foundation records and track grants in EA.
