Job summary

Rochester Gas & Elec Corp in New York seeks a skilled forecaster to lead load and revenue forecasting for NY, ME and CT. You will perform technical, analytical and statistical duties related to forecasting and tariff development, and lead major projects for rate proceedings.

This role coordinates load forecasting with NYISO and ISO-NE committees, provides regulatory support, and communicates model results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Load forecasting experience
• Experience with regulatory compliance and utility industry beneficial
• Knowledge of regulatory tariff processes
• Knowledge of cost accounting, statistical techniques and rate design principles
• Proficient in Excel and data analysis

Responsibilities

• Load forecasting and revenue forecasting responsibilities for NY, ME, and CT.
• Forecasting for electric peak demand; quantify weather impact on sales.
• Represent company on external forecasting/analyses task forces (ISO, FERC).
• Collaborate with marketing on customer capacity expectations and MW forecasts.
• Perform statistical analysis of deliveries and customers; communicate results to stakeholders.
• Support regulatory work, rate cases and IRs on load forecasting topics.
• Develop new forecasting methodologies for regulatory changes.
• Produce load profiles from AMI data to support Rate Design and planning.
