Job summary

Rochester Gas & Elec Corp, part of Avangrid, seeks a forecasting specialist to lead load and revenue forecasting efforts for NY, ME, and CT. You will analyze tariff development, support rate proceedings, and provide regulatory guidance to meet company objectives.

You will coordinate load and DER forecasting with NYISO and ISO-NE committees. The role involves major projects, cross-functional collaboration, and presenting results to executives and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Load and revenue forecasting skills.
• Strong communications (written and verbal).
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong analytical capabilities.
• Knowledge of statistical modeling desirable.
• Knowledge of Excel Office product desirable.

Responsibilities

• Load forecasting and related load research analysis.
• Forecasting of Electric Peak Demand and related analyses; represent company on forecasting groups.
• Perform statistical and variance analyses of deliveries and customers; quantify weather impact on monthly sales.
• Research and develop methodologies for new regulations in forecasting processes.
• Design load research and studies using statistical sampling.
• Produce class average load profiles from AMI meter data to support rate design and other studies.
• Maintain databases that support forecasting models and run analyses.
• Communicate results of analytical models to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
