The ideal candidate has supervisory experience in food service, relevant certifications (ServSafe Manager, CDM/CFPP preferred), and strong interpersonal skills. The position emphasizes cost control, regulatory compliance, and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Requires food service supervisory experience; long-term care preferred.
• ServSafe Certification for Managers required; CDM/CFPP preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet goals/objectives.
• Proficiency with Windows Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires and/or orients dietary staff.
• Trains workers in procedures and equipment operation and maintenance.
• Plans, directs and supervises dietary department functions and activities.
• Supervises and evaluates quality of work by department employees.
• Forecasts and plans purchase of supplies and equipment.
• Manages staffing levels to ensure adequate services.
• Maintains required records (inventory, compliance, records).
• Conducts management meetings and coordinates with other departments.
