Yona Solutions is seeking a Food Services Director to lead the dietary department in a long-term care facility. You will organize, direct, and supervise food service operations to ensure high-quality nutrition and hospitable service for residents, families, and staff.

The role requires an associate degree in food service management or hospitality, supervisory experience, and certifications (ServSafe Manager, CDM/CFPP). Focus on cost control, compliance, and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires and orients dietary staff
• Trains workers in procedures and operation of equipment
• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and supervises dietary department activities
• Supervises and evaluates the quality of work by department staff
• Forecasts and plans purchases of supplies and equipment
• Maintains staffing levels and schedules for services
• Keeps records for inventory, compliance, income/expense and personnel
• Coordinates with other departments for dietary activities
• Manages cost-effective budgeting within the department
• Ensures survey readiness and regulatory compliance
• Maintains good relations with residents, visitors and staff
• Participates in facility meetings and committees
• Promotes professional growth of the team
• Performs QA rounds and inspections and reports progress
