Job summary

Yona Solutions is seeking a Food Services Director to lead the dietary department in a long-term care facility. You will organize, direct, and supervise staff, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards, and drive quality dining programs for residents.

The role requires supervision experience in food service, a related degree, and certifications (ServSafe, CDM/CFPP). Strong leadership and management skills are essential to maintain surveys and budget performance.

Qualifications

• Associate's or higher degree in food service management or hospitality.
• Food service supervisory experience required; at least two years in long term care preferred.
• ServSafe Certification for Managers, National Restaurant Association.
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) and CFPP per ANFP.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires and orients dietary staff.
• Trains workers in procedures and operation of equipment.
• Plans, directs and supervises department functions and activities.
• Supervises and evaluates quality of work by department staff.
• Forecasts and plans purchases of supplies and equipment.
• Plans staffing to ensure adequate services and maintains proper records.
• Conducts management meetings and coordinates with other departments.
• Maintains budget, survey readiness, and compliance with regulations.
• Promotes resident satisfaction and staff development.
