Job summary

SkyChefs in Dallas is seeking a Buyer to source, purchase and manage assigned categories of goods and services. The role supports a seamless supply chain, ensuring product availability and cost control for airline catering operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and suppliers, monitor inventory, and drive improvements in procurement processes while maintaining supplier relations and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing/Supply Chain management (preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, purchasing, or inventory management.
• Experience overseeing receiving, storage, and distribution of food products, packaging, and supplies.
• Ability to thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Ability to multi-task and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in teams and with customers.
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating data.
• Must have a valid current driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Customer Service Centers and other disciplines to determine sourcing needs.
• Coordinate fulfills methods and monitor ongoing effectiveness.
• Address vendor performance issues and analyze alternatives.
• Identify supplier development opportunities based on impact to SkyChefs.
• Ensure items sourced meet specifications and price parameters.
• Drive cost reductions through standardization and best pricing.
