Job summary

SkyChefs in Dallas seeks a Food Operations Supervisor to lead daily production, ensuring safe, efficient, high-quality airline catering. You will supervise a team of production associates, manage inventory, and uphold food safety protocols to support timely meal preparation and service.

The role requires strong leadership and communication, experience overseeing 20+ hourly staff, and familiarity with FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA, EPA regulations.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of supervisory experience in a food production and restaurant or catering environment.
• Associates/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Food handling and food safety knowledge experience.
• Must have strong and effective leadership and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage a staff of 20+ hourly employees.
• Comfortable with all levels of employees and driving positive program change.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, GMP, FDA, USDA and EPA regulations.
• Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills; ability to multi-task.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Food Department and coordinate with other department leaders.
• Meet strict production deadlines or service times.
• Ensure the area is properly organized, staffed and directed and that delivery times are met.
• Train, coach, and evaluate food service employees.
• Maintain all financial goals related to material, productivity, overtime, and labor.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, HACCP, and other standards.
• Document and follow up on department processes to drive improvements.
• Other duties as needed.
