Job summary

State of Washington, Department of Enterprise Services, is seeking a seasoned supervisor to lead the Fleet Operations team. You will oversee five Program Specialist staff, manage leases, and coordinate daily vehicle services for agency customers statewide.

You will analyze fleet data, suggest vehicle mix, and prepare reporting for Fleet Management and Budget/Finance. Responsibilities include training, records, and handling customer inquiries while ensuring compliance with state policies.

Qualifications

• Six years total experience in customer service and fleet role.
• At least one year of supervisory experience in a fleet management position.
• At least two years in a fleet role.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Supervise five Program Specialist staff and manage daily fleet operations.
• Process short- and long-term leases and fleet purchases.
• Monitor vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, and compliance with standards.
• Prepare data analyses and strategic planning recommendations for leadership.
• Develop training curricula for DES Fleet policies and procedures.
• Resolve citizen complaints and manage program support duties.
