Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a Fleet Solutions Manager to lead comprehensive management of an assigned equipment range. You will analyze markets, suppliers, and lifecycle management while coordinating with VPs to develop strategic product plans for the HERC fleet.

Role requires 5+ years in fleet management or sourcing at a Fortune 500 company or top equipment rental firm, with strong negotiation and cross-functional collaboration skills. Competitive pay and robust benefits accompany this senior role.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; MBA preferred.
CPSM, CIPS, or Six Sigma qualifications are a plus.
5+ years of fleet management or sourcing experience with a Fortune 500 company or top 50 equipment rental company.
Experience identifying cost reduction and process improvement projects within the supply chain.
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with strong communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

Identify and recommend specific models and specifications for the rental fleet.
Negotiate standard and special purchasing programs and supplier agreements.
Form and negotiate support programs (parts, warranties, training).
Coordinate with departments for product launches and lifecycle management.
Develop fleet plan, starting stock, and growth plans across branches and regions.
Create data management structures (product hierarchy, description, keywords).
Assist IT in purchasing portals and vendor systems setup.
Develop rental rate strategy with Fleet, Operations, and Pricing teams.
Fleet management budgeting and support for new openings and launches.
