Job summary

Amgen in Thousand Oaks, CA seeks a Fleet Operations Associate Director to lead the enterprise fleet program across the US and Puerto Rico, shaping strategy and performance for mobile operations.

You will manage vendor relationships, budgets, compliance, and end-to-end asset lifecycle to deliver safe, cost-effective mobility solutions for the field organization, while driving continuous improvements and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree and 3 years of logistics, transportation, fleet operations, or related experience in pharma or regulated industries.
• Master's degree and 5 years of logistics, transportation, fleet operations, or related experience in pharma or regulated industries.
• Bachelor's degree and 7 years of logistics, transportation, fleet operations, or related experience in pharma or regulated industries.
• Associate's degree and 12 years of logistics, transportation, fleet operations, or related experience in pharma or regulated industries.
• High school diploma / GED and 14 years of logistics, transportation, fleet operations, or related experience in pharma or regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Amgen's multi-year fleet strategy, operating model, policies, procedures, and governance framework.
• Lead the Fleet Operations team, set priorities and performance expectations.
• Own the strategic relationship with the fleet management partner; define SLAs and KPIs.
• Own fleet program budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
• Set framework for vehicle, driver, and vendor compliance.
• Oversee end-to-end fleet lifecycle: vehicle selection, sourcing, maintenance, and disposal.
• Translate data into actionable insights and present recommendations to senior leadership.
• Build cross-functional partnerships to deliver an integrated fleet experience.
• Lead major transformation initiatives to improve service, operations resilience.
