Job summary

Vibrant Ingredients, formerly Florida Food Products, is seeking a Sr. Buyer in Cranbury, NJ to manage procurement of raw materials, flavors, and packaging. You will ensure timely orders, quality standards, and cost optimization while building strong supplier relationships.

The role collaborates with R&D, QA, and supply chain leadership to meet strategic sourcing goals. Strong negotiation, ERP/MRP experience, and reporting duties are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of flavor and/or food & beverage ingredient procurement experience.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Excel.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Place and track purchase orders for raw materials, flavors, packaging, and other goods.
• Schedule deliveries aligned with production demand.
• Collaborate with R&D, food science, and QA to match specs and regulatory standards.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate terms.
• Monitor supplier performance using corporate metrics.
• Ensure FDA and labeling compliance for flavors and materials.
• Generate procurement reports and manage ERP/MRP data.
• Identify opportunities to streamline procurement and reduce costs.
