Legacy Bakehouse is seeking a Buyer / Procurement Specialist — Ingredients & Packaging to own sourcing and pricing for ingredients and packaging materials. The role aims to keep plants running and deliver year-over-year cost savings, balancing service level with margin impact.

Responsibilities include converting MRP signals to POs, negotiating terms, managing supplier data, and partnering across QA, R&D, and finance in a fast‑moving food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing or buying experience, preferably in food or CPG manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar) and strong Excel skills.
• Hands‑on use of customer portals (e.g., SAP) to place orders and manage schedules.
• Demonstrated negotiation results with documented savings.

Responsibilities

• Convert MRP demand signals into purchase orders and maintain ERP data for planning.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and freight; manage supplier base and bids.
• Maintain supplier documentation and run supplier scorecards with corrective actions.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with production, QA, R&D, and finance.
