Job summary

Woodland Community College is seeking an equity-minded, dynamic Fiscal Analyst to join the Fiscal Services team. The role develops and reviews budgets, analyzes financial data, and prepares district and college-level reports for operations, grants, and compliance.

The successful candidate will work with the Director of Fiscal Services and College President, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to accounting standards while coordinating with IT and other departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration and at least six years of related accounting/budget experience.
• Experience with college-level financial reporting and budgeting.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and review of College’s annual general fund/categorical budgets on all funds including the College’s foundation funds.
• Review and analyze budget and expenditure transfers for accuracy and validity.
• Develop staffing and other budget projections including maintenance of a local and/or district position control system.
• Monitor and general funds, categorical grants, and program budgets.
• Analyze, and prepare federal, state, and local reports for categorically funded accounts and others as assigned; maintain accounting records for categorically funded programs and grants; audit and review expenditures; interpret contracts to determine budgeting, billing, and reporting requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of board agenda items including development of supporting data. Prepare various monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and budget reports for the college as requested by the college management team.
