Job summary

Tecomet, Inc. is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager I to lead the accounting team supporting US operations. You will manage monthly closings, ensure accuracy of financial statements, and drive technical accounting research in a fast-paced environment.

You will partner with FP&A, Tax, and external auditors, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal controls while mentoring a high-performing team in a hybrid Mason, MI setting.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience researching technical accounting issues and drafting internal accounting positions.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly and year-end close processes with journal entries, reconciliations, and estimates.
• Maintain schedules for capital projects, inventory, prepaid expenses, and accruals.
• Record intercompany transactions and oversee global intercompany activity.
• Lead technical accounting research and prepare whitepapers on complex issues.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, and other teams to ensure consistency of accounting principles.
• Oversee internal controls and drive process improvements in monthly close.
