Job summary

Tecomet Inc. is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager I to lead the US accounting and financial reporting function from Mason, MI.

You will manage monthly and year-end close, prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and estimates, and drive adherence to US GAAP across corporate entities and manufacturing sites. You will oversee technical accounting research, consolidate intercompany activity, and coordinate with external auditors, Finance leadership, and cross-functional teams to ensure

Qualifications

Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
Experience researching technical accounting issues and drafting internal accounting positions.

Responsibilities

Manage the monthly and year-end close processes with journal entries, reconciliations, and estimates.
Maintain schedules (capital projects, inventory, prepaid expenses, accruals) and reconcile to GL for US sites and corporate entities.
Record intercompany transactions and oversee global intercompany activity.
Generate periodic financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
Lead technical accounting research and prepare whitepapers on complex topics.
Mentor and develop accounting staff; build a high-performing team.
