Job summary

Tecomet Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to prepare monthly financial information for management and external users. You will report to the Financial Reporting Manager and support site-level and company-wide accounting initiatives across 18 US manufacturing sites.

You will analyze, interpret and report financial data, maintain internal controls, and assist with audits while contributing to continuous improvement and value creation within the Finance function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 1–3 years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
• Big 4 or large national firm experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries.
• Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts (capital projects, inventory, prepaid expenses, accruals).
• Oversee intercompany balances, monthly charges and reconciliations.
• Oversee inventory cycle counts and variance schedules.
• Support the company’s accounting cycles and internal controls.
• Assist with external audits as required.
• Continuously improve the Finance function to add value.
• Manage and complete specialized projects independently or with a team.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.
