Job summary

Tecomet is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager I to oversee accurate and timely financial reporting for US sites and corporate entities. This role leads a professional accounting team, drives close processes, and partners with FP&A, Tax, and external auditors to ensure compliant, high-quality financial statements.

The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, CPA (preferred), and manufacturing ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• US GAAP knowledge and internal controls.
• CPA or CPA exams preferred.
• Experience with ERP software (M2M, Epicor, Syteline) and manufacturing accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and year-end close processes with journal entries, reconciliations, and estimates.
• Maintain schedules for capital projects, inventory, prepaid expenses, and accruals; reconcile to GL.
• Record intercompany transactions and oversee global intercompany activity.
• Generate periodic financial statements in compliance with US GAAP; coordinate with auditors.
• Lead technical accounting research and prepare whitepapers on complex issues.
• Monitor new accounting standards and updates; ensure proper application across US operations.
• Drive process improvements in close process and identify automation opportunities.
• Recruit, hire, and develop accounting staff; coach and evaluate team performance.
