Job summary

Tecomet United States is seeking a Staff Accountant to prepare monthly financial information and support site-level and corporate accounting across 18 US manufacturing sites. This role reports to the Financial Reporting Manager and will help manage accounting initiatives with the broader team, ensuring timely reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Accounting and 1–3 years of progressive accounting experience; Big 4 or large national firm experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 1–3 years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
• Big 4 or large national firm experience a plus.
• Manufacturing accounting background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries
• Reconciliation, support and analysis of balance sheet accounts such as capital projects, inventory, prepaid expenses, and accruals
• Overseeing and maintaining intercompany balances, monthly charges and reconciliations
• Oversee inventory cycle counts and maintain schedule of variances
• Understands the various accounting cycles and applies this knowledge to support the Company’s operational and internal control environment
• Supports external audits as required
• Continuously improves the value of the Finance function within the Company. Eliminates waste and adds value at every opportunity
• Manage and complete specialized projects independently or as part of a team
• Additional duties as requested by supervisor
