Job summary

Tecomet seeks a Financial Reporting Manager I to lead monthly and year-end close, oversee journal entries and reconciliations for US sites and corporate entities, and develop a high-performing accounting team.

You will drive technical accounting research, ensure accuracy in US GAAP reporting, and coordinate with external auditors while advancing continuous improvement in financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting
• Active CPA or successful completion of the CPA exams
• Public accounting experience, ideally with a Big 4 or other large national accounting firm
• Experience with ERP software (M2M, Epicor and Syteline a plus)

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and estimates
• Maintain schedules (capital projects, inventory, prepaid expenses, accruals) and reconcile to the GL for US sites and corporate entities
• Record intercompany transactions and oversee intercompany activity
• Generate periodic financial statements in compliance with US GAAP
• Lead technical accounting research and draft whitepapers on complex issues
• Monitor and implement new accounting standards from FASB/PCC
• Serve as key contact for external auditors
• Assist in consolidated accounting policy implementation
• Drive process improvements and automation in financial reporting
• Recruit, hire, and develop accounting staff
• Mentor and develop team members; provide coaching and feedback
• Engage in ad hoc projects as needed
