El Paso County seeks a Financial Recovery Specialist, Intermediate to perform extensive case work, data collection and payments reconciliation in a court-adjacent environment. You will support collections, prepare deposits, and analyze eligibility for payment plans under supervision.

The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and customer service as you interact with litigants and partners to meet deadlines and compliance requirements.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1 year accounting or bookkeeping experience
• 4 years general office/customer service and cashiering experience
• Or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
• Must have or obtain a valid driver's license
• A personal mobile device is required by start date

Responsabilidades

• Prepares case files and attends court hearings; reports money recovered to courts; initiates warrant paperwork; recalls warrants when payment is made.
• Performs internal audit for packets processed; logs errors; stamps, initials and scans packets; ensures accuracy and completeness.
• Oversees cashiers; handles and counts monies daily; prepares deposits; verifies receipts and credit card totals; prepares daily deposits for satellite offices.
• Reviews court documents and interprets judgments, terms, probation orders, warrants and other orders.
• Interviews litigants for payment plans; determines terms, financial status, and negotiates methods and schedules for collections; documents in database.
• Verifies data for eligibility; manages caseloads for collections; conducts special projects; collects payments and reconciles accounts.
• Performs data entry into internal cash reports; prepares collections reports daily.
• Contacts delinquent litigants and documents progress; responds to inquiries; provides customer service in person and by phone.
• Enters and retrieves data from databases; activates or dismisses warrants; assists in coordinating trainings and meetings.
• Prepares and files warrants, affidavits, judgments and other documents; assists management with data verification and budget monitoring.
