Job summary

Upside is seeking a Lead Financial Data Analyst to translate large datasets into strategic financial frameworks. You will own data architecture, automate revenue workflows, and deliver insights to senior leadership by collaborating with FP&A, Data Engineering, and product teams.

You will build and maintain dashboards in Looker, HEX, and Pigment, while leveraging Python for forecasting and AI-driven analyses.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in FP&A or Strategic Finance at a high-growth SaaS/Tech company.
• Advanced SQL mastery (window functions, CTEs, query optimization).
• Experience with Snowflake, AWS, and HEX.

Responsibilities

• Scale Data Architecture: Partner with Data Engineering to design, optimize, and maintain financial data warehouses (using Snowflake).
• Owner of Financial Datasets: Define, write, and maintain complex SQL queries and dbt models to transform raw data into clean, audit-ready financial metrics.
• Maintain FP&A Planning Tool: Manage spend forecast and actuals data for department budget owners in planning tool (Pigment) and drive spend optimization through AI analysis.
• Automate Revenue Workflows: Architect automated pipelines to track CAC, LTV, Payback periods, and IRR.
• Statistical Forecasting: Use Python and AI to improve cohort performance forecasting and merchant net revenue retention.
• New Vertical Pricing Support: Model financial impact of pricing models, monetization strategies, or international expansions.
