Job summary

Engine is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to build and own the analytics behind our internal finance function. You will partner with the Head of Finance, applying data, AI, and automation to accelerate insights and performance.

Responsibilities include designing a finance data layer in Snowflake, creating robust data models, and delivering AI-assisted analyses for leadership, the board, and investors. Strong SQL, Python, and Looker experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Economics or Finance.
• 5+ years as a Data or Business Analyst with Finance/FP&A exposure.
• Advanced SQL and data modeling experience; dbt a plus.
• Strong foundations in statistics and econometrics (regression, forecasting).
• Experience using AI tools and automation to speed up analysis; Python a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead data analyst for the finance team, scoping analytical needs and delivering data-driven answers.
• Design and build the finance data layer in Snowflake with ERP, billing, payroll and ops data.
• Develop AI-assisted analytics, automated reconciliations and self-serve reporting.
• Build and manage finance dashboards in Looker for real-time revenue, margin, expenses and cash.
• Explore large datasets with SQL to identify drivers of revenue, margin, and cost.
