Job summary

UPS is seeking a data operations professional to apply data operations requirements for storing and retrieving data. You will work with cross-functional teams to promote reusable data objects and a coherent data source strategy, converting logical models to physical databases and supporting data sharing.

You will investigate complex problems, monitor performance, create reports, and configure database software to ensure reliable data delivery and scalable reporting environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS/CS/Finance or related field (preferred).
• Strong SQL skills for querying and transforming data (BigQuery preferred).
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of critical financial and operational data used for reporting, forecasting, and decision-making.
• Monitor production processes, validate results, and resolve data quality or system issues to ensure accurate data delivery.
• Investigate data and reporting discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with business and technology teams to develop, test, and deploy data solutions, enhancements, and process improvements.
• Provide support, training, and guidance to users of enterprise reporting and data platforms.
• Develop and maintain documentation, operational procedures, and controls for consistency and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve data/reports reliability and scalability.
