Job summary

Plante Moran is seeking a data-driven analyst for the Internal Accounting and firm services reporting function. You will build, analyze and optimize financial data across multiple systems, including Workday and Power BI, and support standard and ad hoc reporting requests.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, problem solving, and strong Excel/VBA skills, with a focus on turning complex data into actionable insights for internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting with report writing.
• Strong aptitude to data analysis.
• Report writing experience required.
• Familiarity with databases preferred.
• Advanced Excel/VBA skills preferred.
• Accounting/financial reporting and analysis experience preferred.
• Collaborative project experience—team leadership beneficial.
• Workday experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and support financial and key data from financial systems.
• Troubleshoot and enhance current published reports.
• Build reporting in Workday, Power BI and Adaptive Planning.
• Handle report requests and fulfill data needs.
• Assist with Helpdesk reporting items and escalate issues.
• Run assigned and ad hoc data requests and analysis.
• Use tools like SSMS, Power BI, Excel, Alteryx for data investigation and cleansing.
• Participate in business process reviews using MS Power Apps.
