Job summary

Plante Moran is seeking a proactive intern to translate data into actionable business insights and support client engagements. You will blend analytics with practical business context, working on real-world data challenges beyond routine spreadsheet tasks.

You’ll join a culture that prioritizes growth, collaboration, and flexible in-person work, with opportunities to learn BI tools and cloud technologies while developing professional skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in business analytics, data science, computer science or a related field.
• Academic success (a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0).
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
• Interest or experience in cloud technologies.
• Willingness to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
• Experience with data visualizations and reporting platforms OR data integration tools preferred.
• Strong SQL skills preferred.
• Education or experience with Tableau, Power BI, Informatica, Alteryx, SSIS or comparable preferred.
• Education or experience with scripting such as Python, PowerShell, Java, XML desired.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to understand business issues, develop data-driven solutions, and ensure data integrity for decision making.
• Develop knowledge of data integration and BI best practices; train on common solutions and tools used for client needs.
• Synthesize complex data into actionable recommendations and present results in business terms.
• Deliver solutions within cross-functional teams serving clients across industries, platforms, and geographies.
