Job summary

Cargill Construction is seeking a detail-oriented Controller to oversee financial operations and ensure integrity of financial reporting. The role involves managing budgets, reconciliations, payroll, and compliance with applicable regulations.

The Controller will prepare weekly reports for the Managing Partner and job supervisors, coordinate affidavits and vendor payments, and liaise with banks on construction loan matters. This is a full-time position based in New Hampshire.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail in financial reporting
• Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and analysis of financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations for assets, liabilities, and equity
• Create weekly reports for the Managing Partner and job supervisors
• Prepare and track weekly affidavits to be signed by vendors after payments
• Interface with banks on behalf of customers with construction loans
• Conduct payroll processing to ensure timely employee compensation
• Maintain filing systems for accounting and HR records
• Submit annual reports to the State of New Hampshire and file paper copies
