Job summary

CK Construction Group seeks a seasoned Controller to lead all accounting and financial reporting for a private construction management and general contracting firm. You will partner with project executives to provide financial insight across the full lifecycle—from pursuit to closeout, ensuring strong controls and profitability.

The role requires 10+ years in construction accounting, GAAP proficiency, and experience with CM/GC environments. CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required or equivalent experience.
• CPA certification strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in private construction.
• Experience in CM/GC or general contracting environments.
• Strong background in project accounting, WIP reporting, and POC revenue recognition.
• Experience supporting privately held ownership structures and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations including general ledger and financial reporting.
• Establish strong internal controls suitable for a private company.
• Mentor and manage the accounting team.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and timely financial reporting.
• Oversee POC accounting and WIP schedules; analyze margins and project performance.
• Coordinate audits with external CPA firms and monitor budgets.
