Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design, located in Holmdel, NJ, seeks a Financial Analyst II to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis. The role emphasizes data-driven decision support, advanced modeling, and cross-functional collaboration with senior leadership to improve reporting and performance.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years in financial analysis, strong Excel/Power BI skills, and comfort with ERP systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
2-3 years of experience in financial analysis.
Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, CoPilot, and ERP systems (BST, Deltek, SAP, Oracle).
Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statements, and forecasting techniques.
Excellent organization skills and ability to manage multiple deliverables.
Strong communication skills and ability to translate data into insights.
Experience with financial systems implementation or enhancement is a plus.
Ability to read, write and understand English for job-related communications.

Responsibilities

Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Build and maintain advanced financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning across P&L, working capital, backlog, and other KPIs.
Data Analytics & Visualization: Leverage tools like Power BI, Excel, CoPilot, and our ERP system (BST) to create dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights to leadership and operational teams.
Performance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and synthesize drivers of financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
Strategic Support: Partner with the Director of Finance, CFO and senior leaders to prepare executive-level presentations, business reviews, and shareholder materials that explain the “why” behind financial outcomes.
Process Improvement: Contribute to initiatives that streamline workflows, enhance data governance, and improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
M&A & Due Diligence: Support acquisition analysis, integration planning, and ROI scenario development as part of the company’s growth strategy.
